Scratch and dent insurance

Comforting car care… For when your car needs a little TLC

In a nutshell

Scratch and dent insurance covers minor repairs to the exterior of your car… Like those mysterious little dings that happen in parking lots, and those annoying spots of tar that stick like superglue.

Small chips

In any 12-month period we'll pay an unlimited number of claims, to a limit of R3,000 per claim. An excess of R250 applies to each claim.

Minor dents

A dent in your car needn't be a dent on the road to happy driving. We'll smooth things right out. You're covered for the repair of minor dents (smaller than 15cm in diameter) on the bodywork of your car. If any part of a body panel has been ripped or torn, this isn't covered.

Minor scratches

Accidents happen, and they leave marks… But they don't have to be marks for life. We'll wipe them away. You're covered for the repair of minor scratches (smaller than 15cm in length) on the bodywork of your car. If any part of a body panel has been ripped or torn, this isn't covered.

Tar removal

Tar can be a sticky issue. But our experts will stick with it until it's all gone… They're clingy that way. You're covered for an unlimited number of tar removals.

Hail

Rain, rain, go away… Actually, rain is always welcome. But hail, and the damage it can cause, just isn't. You're covered to repair damage that's caused by hail, once in any 12-month period. If your royal car cover also includes cover for hail damage, you may choose which insurance to claim from.

Mags and rims

Marks on your mags? Scratch that! You're covered for the repair of damage to your car's mag wheels and wheel rims. If a mag or rim is damaged to such an extent it can't be repaired, this isn't covered.
