Franchises

Your choice, our pleasure

In a nutshell

By ‘franchise' we mean: A distribution network operating under a shared trademark or name with franchisees, paying the franchisor for the right to do business under that name for a specified period of time. The franchise industry in South Africa generates almost 12% of our country's GDP. 68% of the private-sector's employment is provided by small businesses who have less than 50 employees. The 2015 opening of 2,286 new franchises brought the total number of franchise outlets to just under 30,000 outlets across our country, which operate under 551 different franchised systems. South Africa is proudly made up of 88% home-grown franchise concepts.
