Have you heard the news? Of course you have, because it’s down to you have that we something new to brag about in the first place! King Price has been crowned the top insurer by South African consumers in a 2021 South African Insurance Sentiment Index, conducted by PwC SA in collaboration with BrandsEye.
The Index revealed that we scored 44.3%, achieving the highest net sentiment of the 15 insurers measured. We’re only 1 of 5 insurers to get a positive net sentiment! Just in case you’re wondering, ‘net sentiment’ tracks all opinions expressed on social media about a brand or product. It’s calculated by subtracting the percentage of negative online mentions from the percentage of positive online mentions. The index tracked over 450,000 consumer social media posts between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021.
So it’s officially down to all of you that we’re on the receiving end of this tremendous achievement. Look, we’re no stranger to receiving awards. You’ve only got to click here to look at the full list of awards we’ve received over the past few years… And yet, we’re still tearing up (with real tears) at the privilege of winning this accolade.
It just confirms that as a proudly South African insurance company, we’re noticeably making good on our commitment to deliver super cheap insurance and strangely simple service. The kind of cover that makes a difference in our clients’ lives, like with our world-first (and still only) decreasing premium model for car insurance, which has enabled us to save our clients over R200 million over the last 9 years.
To us, this made sense as the only fair and logical way to do car insurance. Added to that, we’ve given our clients the freedom to manage their policies on the platform of their choice, whenever and wherever it’s convenient. We’ve also written our policy wording in simple, easy-to-understand, every-day English, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) requirements are built into everything we do.
